I went searching on Etsy for cloth diapers for our third child, due anyday now. I found one of the best! April is a mom who makes diapers. Simple right, well- her quality and dedication is shown within her work. 100%.
Initially, I was only shopping for newborn diaper covers- I already have size medium and large covers in other brands. But I wanted some in the smaller size. I picked a few and then found another seller on Etsy who did make diapers and had a great price so I contacted April to see if she also made plain diapers (fitted, contoured) because I love to use pins and Snappies more than just pockets or AIO’s. She surprisingly said yes. We compared the diapers and she told me that she could make my diapers custom with a better fabric. In the end, I ordered 20 diapers. I am so pleased.
She used both boy and neutral colors for the diapers and even though they will be covered with a diaper cover, they are the cutest diapers I have ever seen. The fabric is soft and very absorbent. I will most likely have her be my main diaper lady for whenever I need products.
I also sew and make diapers but being pregnant, I don’t have time. I managed to make a few and a couple of diaper covers but I really like to use various brands of both name brand and work from home mom brands because its interesting to see the different flavors in cloth diapers. I love them all.
So based on what I have seen so far, I love these diapers. I bought newborn and small plain diapers with no velcro or snaps in a fitted make along with a few newborn covers and one size all covers. I am going to pre-wash them all to fluff them out- which everyone should do when receiving cloth diapers. It opens the pores so that the diaper can be absorbent and helps prep for use.
After the baby arrives and we actually use the diapers, I will update you on how they hold up with spills and poos and how they wash and come out afterwards. So far, I would recommend April’s Baby Brand cloth diaper to anyone. You can find her on Etsy under the name “April’s Baby”.
